Red Maple sponsors the Flux Capacitor!
“Great Scott!!” as a Doctor once said, “you’ve done what?!”
Yes, as part of our continuing commitment to our ethos, today we’ve sponsored a drag racing electric car. Not just any electric car though; it’s an Enfield 8000, originally built during the oil crisis in the 1970’s. In the ultimate in recycling, it’s being dusted off, restored and slightly tweaked ready for not just the track, but everyday city use as well. Call it Retro to the Future if you will.
The man behind the project is Jonny Smith from Fifth Gear, who wants to remind the world that Electric Vehicles aren’t a new invention, and that low to zero emission motoring is now a real possibility.
From our point of view, this is a great opportunity to highlight how a business model using home workers and sustainable technology can work without costing the earth. From using the cloud to mobile phones, solar panels to electric vehicles, we’re aiming to have the lowest carbon footprint possible.
You can find out more about the Flux Capacitor at Jonny’s website – www.flux-capacitor.co.uk
As always, we’ll post updates when we get them; keep your eyes peeled for exciting customer days and exhibitions that the Flux Capacitor will be appearing at!
